0 - Universal GPIB PSU Front End

EBay is starting to see a lot of great bench power supplies show up for some really great cheap prices. Quite often these are far better supplies than the modern Chinese junk you can buy new.

The downside to these supplies is they often have really crappy displays, or even none on the front panel. They will also quite often, not have the output jacks on the front, but only on the back of the unit.

These two things really suck for a multi output PSU.

If you have three outputs switched on, you should be able to see them all at a glance. A single line 10 character LCD does not cut it.

So, this project has three simple main goals;

1 - A better GUI to control the PSU.

2 - Expose the ports from the rear and break them out in front.

3 - Create a local/remote sense switch

And a couple of side goals;

1 - Write the software so its expandable

2 - Get VXI ethernet and USB interfaces working
