I have a few compressors, so I thought I'd start with showing the Syemtrix 525 Dual Gated Compressor Limiter, which is a long winded description to say that its a stereo compressor.
Here is a shot of its internals, I need to do a recap. Thankfully its all through hole and only a couple of caps! (Check out those old school LED arrays!)
This version I have is the like the second revision, the first version had Green Valley People VCA chips, which are the most sought after revision, then this version which has the DBX VCA chips (same chips from the DBX 160 compressor I believe), and then the third revision which had a blue faceplate and updated logo had some junk VCA chips.
My version has the really nice DBX VCA chips.
